As many of you know, I ran a giveaway recently offering subscribers to my mailing list the opportunity to win a signed copy of Bound To Blackwood, as well as some great swag. It was all in aid of celebrating the book's first birthday.

Publishing anything is an achievement in itself. Doing it as an Independent Author is quite often an  uphill struggle. Bound to Blackwood has been a labour of love for a number of years, and now it's out there, I'm absolutely thrilled with the reception it's getting. There were events, competitions, giveaways and special offers galore. This is the first year I've been able to celebrate #IndiePrideDay as a published author so I decided to offer my debut novel, a paranormal romance entitled Bound to Blackwood for free, all weekend.

To help spread the word, I created a HeadTalker campaign, paid for a small budget Facebook advert, hosted three takeovers on various platforms, and recruited a team of fellow authors and bloggers to give me a spotlight on their blog at some point over the weekend.
